New Station Will Complete The Puzzle for Moon Griffon

BATON ROUGE – Moon Griffon has steadily built the audience for the Moon Griffon Show over the past 22 years through radio affiliates in New Orleans, Shreveport, Monroe, Lafayette, Alexandria, Lake Charles, Houma, and Natchitoches.

But one market has proven tough for Limbaugh to crack — the Baton Rouge market.  On several occasions, he has gained a Baton Rouge affiliate, only to lose it for one reason or another.

He was briefly in the Baton Rouge market in 2012-2013 at FM 107.3, only to be dropped in early 2013.

While the station gave no official reason, Griffon said at the time that he believed it was due to his vocal opposition to many of the policies of Gov. Bobby Jindal.

In any case, the absence of an affiliate in the Baton Rouge market has left a gap in Griffon’s ability to offer a truly statewide audience.

That’s one reason his affiliation with WSGX 95.1 FM will be so important — it allow Griffon to reach the entire Louisiana five days a week.
