Capital City News Launches News Source for St. George

Community Press, LLC, the publisher of the Capital City News, has launched a new Facebook page called St. George Leader, which is an internet news site that will cover the proposed City of St. George.
The site will cover the pros and cons of incorporation but is not limited to that topic.  Editor Woody Jenkins said, “The St. George Leader will be a daily news source for people who reside in the proposed city and the proposed Southeast Baton Rouge Community School District.”
The news site has been in existence for 11 days and has already had more than 10,000 unique visitors and acquired more than 2,000 “Likes,” Jenkins said.
“It is clear that there is tremendous interest in news about incorporation of St. George.  We also believe there is an unmet demand for news about the schools, churches, and businesses in the area.”
