No. 1-Ranked U-High Faces No. 7 Parkview For State Division II Championship in Dome

Two Baton Rouge teams return to the Superdome to battle it out for the State Division II Championship when Parkview Baptist faces University High at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5.

U-High (14-0), the state’s No. 1-ranked team, is favored over Parkview (10-3), which is ranked No. 7, especially in view of their meeting earlier in the year, which U-High won 28-7. On the other hand, Parkview has a winning tradition, having won its last state championship two years ago in the Dome, and their only losses this year were to highly ranked teams.  In addition to U-High, Parkview lost of Zachary and West Feliciana, which are both in the state semi-finals in their classifications.  U-High features a host of stars, including quarterback Manny Miles, son of LSU coach Les Miles, and Nick Brossette, an LSU signee.
