Dem, GOP Leaders Meet

The parties may be at war in Washington, but in Baton Rouge, leaders of the Democratic and Republican parties are working together to promote the democratic process. Democratic chairlady Carolyn Hill and Republican chairman Woody Jenkins had lunch last month to discuss possible joint projects including co-sponsoring debates and mock elections in schools this fall.
