Four BR Area Republicans Join Dems on Budget

Four Baton Rouge area Republican lawmakers broke ranks with their Republican colleagues to support the state budget proposed by Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards. They were:
• Rep. Franklin Foil
• Rep. Kenny Havard
• Rep. Barry Ivey
• Rep. Rogers Pope
The bill passed 56-46 and crushed the more conservative plan developed by House Republicans.
