Republican Party of East Baton Rouge Opens Parish Headquarters

BATON ROUGE — The Republican Party of East Baton Rouge opened its new party headquarters for the fall election cycle with a packed house on Friday, Sept. 7.

The headquarters is located at 7047 Jefferson Highway, Suite B.

More than 100 Republican candidates, registered Republicans, guests, and members of the media attended the event.

Candidates who appeared included GOP nominee for Mayor President Mike Walker; Supreme Court candidates Toni Higginbotham, Jeff Hughes, Bill Morvant, and Duke Welch; Court of Appeal candidate Mike McDonald; Metro Council candidates Smokie Bourgeois and John Delgado; City Judge candidate Cliff Ivey, and City Constable candidate Alester Jones.

Candidates brought yard signs and literature.

The headquarters will be used for phone banking and as a central point for walking door to door and distributing signs and literature.
