•    Many of our popular crops grow best in pots
•    If you suffer from back problems or can’t bend
over, raise your pots, using cinder blocks and
treated lumber.  Water daily.
•    It’s legal in Baton Rouge to keep chickens —
up to three if you have less than one acre.  You
must have at least two acres to have a rooster!
•    Get your chicks now and have eggs in 6 months!
•    Best layers: Rhode Island Reds and Plymouth Rocks
•    Our local nurseries and garden stores are the best
source of information.  Just ask.  They’ll help!
