Enrollment Process. Here is the process for enrollment:
1. Know the Open Enrollment Window. The school opens applications for the 2025–26 school year last fall, typically mid‑October to mid‑December. Last year, Open Enrollment ran from October 23 to December 2024. Expect similar dates this year.
2. Submit an Online Application. All enrollment is handled digitally via BASIS’s online portal (“Apply Now” on the website or through EnrollBR) enrollbasis.com+2enrollbasis.com+2enrollbr.org+2. No entrance exams or fees are required. Eligible students must live within East Baton Rouge Parish
3. Participate in the Lottery (if oversubscribed). If applications exceed available openings, a random lottery is held. Preference is given to: Children of school/program employees (including Woman’s Hospital staff), up to 50 per cent capacity, siblings of current students, and other submitted applications
4. Accept an Offer & Register. If selected through the lottery (or via first-come flex enrollment after the window), you’ll receive admission instructions via the portal. Accept the spot, complete registration forms, and then bring required documents — proof of residency, birth certificate, immunizations, guardianship, IEP/504 paperwork, and so on — to finalize enrollment.
5. Join the Waitlist (if necessary). Students not selected in the lottery are placed on a grade-level waitlist, which remains active through the spring and summer. See enrollbasis.com+2enrollbasis.com+2paidposts.brparents.com+2.
Parents are contacted if a spot opens.
