History. Established in 1979, Most Blessed Sacrament Parish was founded to serve a rapidly growing Catholic population in the southeastern area of Baton Rouge.

School Opened in 1980–1981, one year after the parish began. The chapel and school were officially dedicated on Dec. 8, 1980 — the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. The school opened with K-3th grades. Each year, a new grade level was added through the 8th grade.

Campus Growth. Over the years, the campus expanded to include: A chapel, gym, cafeteria, library, and a dedicated Early Learning Center for younger students. Technology upgrades and expanded athletic facilities followed. The library grew to house over 16,000 volumes by the 2010s.

National Recognition. In 2013, MBS was awarded the National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence designation by the U.S. Department of Education — a major milestone recognizing academic excellence and school climate.

TUITION 

Tuition ranges from $6,439 to $7,600 depending on grade level and whether the family is a Catholic family, a Catholic family which is a registered and identified offertory giver, or a non-Catholic family. There are also enrollment fees, technology fees, security fees, capital maintenance fees, and at some grade levels activity fees and graduation fees. 

Athletics. Football Coach/Athletic Director: Tommy Krysan, TKrysan@mbsbr.org. Sports include baseball, basketball (boys and girls), cross country, football, golf, soccer (boys and girls), softball, swimming, tennis, track and field, volleyball, and cheerleading.

Extracurricular. Art Club, Band, Choir, Drama Club, Student Council, Math Club, Robotics Team, Science Fair, Yearbook Club, Community Service Projects, DARE Program, Annual Field Day, and Religious Formation.

Recognition. 2013 National Blue 

Ribbon School of Excellence awarded by the U.S. Department of Education for outstanding academic achievement and school climate.

Accreditation. Fully accredited by recognized regional and Catholic educational organizations, ensuring high academic standards

Faith and Service Recognition. Numerous parish and diocesan awards honoring the school for community service, religious education excellence, and student leadership programs.

Athletic Achievements. Consistent competitive performance in local Catholic school sports leagues with several championships in soccer, basketball, and track events.

Enrollment Process

2. Make Application. Complete and submit the online application available on the school website. Submit required documents: Birth certificate, immunization records, Baptismal certificate (for Catholic students), latest report cards and standardized test scores (if applicable).

3. Assessment & Interview. For certain grades, students may be required to participate in a readiness assessment. Parents/guardians will meet with the admissions team or principal for an interview.

4. Acceptance and Registration. Receive official acceptance letter or email and pay the registration fee ($375 per student). Complete additional paperwork (emergency forms, medical info).

5. Orientation and Start. Attend new family orientation in the summer. Receive supply lists, uniform details, and classroom assignments.
