History. Parkview Baptist School began as a ministry of Parkview Baptist Church in 1981 under the leadership of Brother Bob Anderson. Since its founding, the school has promoted Christian education, developing students academically, spiritually, and socially in a nurturing environment. Parkview Baptist School exists to prepare students to impact the world for Jesus Christ through academic excellence, spiritual growth, and the development of God-given talents. Our mission is carried out through the 4 A’s: Abundant Life, Academics, Arts, and Athletics.
Abundant Life. We guide students toward a Christ-centered life of purpose, service, and spiritual growth. Bible instruction, chapel services, mission trips, and community service projects are woven into campus life, equipping students to live out their faith and make a positive impact on the world. This year, Preschool and Early Childhood merged into One Division under One Mission in order to better accomplish our mission to serve students and families with a consistent and nurturing foundation from Infants through Kindergarten.
Academics. We offer a rigorous, Christ-centered curriculum with Honors, Advanced Placement, and Dual Enrollment courses that challenge students to achieve academic excellence. In 2018, we began our Flex Division, which is a mastery-based curriculum that is digitally delivered, allowing students to move at their own pace while receiving personalized support. College counseling and ACT prep ensure graduates are well-prepared for higher education. From our Early Childhood program through 12th grade, students are encouraged to think critically, communicate effectively, and live out their faith in all areas of life.
Arts. The Arts curriculum is offered for all grades, inspiring creativity and cultivating God-given talents through a variety of programs and opportunities. Our Performing Arts & Academic Center (PAAC) houses the Flex Division, a state-of-the-art black box theater, and a professional dance studio. These facilities support performances, productions, and arts education that encourage students to express themselves and strive for excellence. Students also participate in creative clubs, competitions, and community showcases. A highlight of the year is our annual Starry Night event, an art & literacy walk, which features student artwork, performances, and interactive displays, celebrating the artistic achievements of our school community.
Athletics. Parkview Baptist competes in the LHSAA with a tradition of excellence in football, baseball, basketball, soccer, volleyball, softball, swim, cross country, track and field and more. Throughout our school history, we have earned 68 state titles and 105 district championships across multiple sports. In the 2024–2025 school year alone, we captured four state titles: Girls Cross Country, Girls Soccer, Girls Track and Field, and Girls Indoor Track and Field. In addition, 20 student-athletes signed to compete at the collegiate level, reflecting our commitment to athletic development and academic success. Since 1981, our athletic program has grown into one of the top programs in the state, building on a legacy of sportsmanship, discipline, and Christ-like servant leadership. This year, Devin Ducote (PBS Class of 2007) joins the Eagles as Head Football Coach and Head of Football Advancement, bringing a passion for leadership, player development, and continuing Parkview’s championship tradition.
