St. Michael the Archangel High School is a well-rounded Catholic college-preparatory academy offering strong academics, a robust athletics program, and a faith-centered community environment. With solid test scores, college matriculation rates, and multiple state championships across sports, it’s proud to prepare students for both higher education and spiritual growth.
The SWORD program at St. Michael High School encapsulates the essence of a special education program by promoting inclusion at the high school level and fostering a supportive environment where all students can thrive together. The program serves to inspire and empower students by recognizing their efforts and encouraging them to continue toward their goals.

The program has 27 sports teams which includes cross country, dance team, flag team,
Equestrian/Rodeo Team, football, golf, powerlifting, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field, volleyball, wrestling.

New Campus Improvements. Extensive Interior Upgrades including audio/video upgrades, locker room renovations, and even a new flag pole!
Tuition for 2025-2026 is $11,125 for diploma track students (subject to financial aid or scholarships). Other fees include registration $550, activity fee $200, and technology fee $700. Enrollment Process
1. Create an Online Admissions Account. Visit the official site: www.smhsbr.org: Navigate to Admissions Apply Now, create a FACTS (formerly RenWeb) family portal account to start a new student.
2. Complete the Online Application. You’ll need to fill out general information (student background, school history). Pay the $30 application fee. Submit copy of student’s birth certificate, most recent report card, standardized test scores (if available), immunization records, disciplinary and attendance records, and any IEP/504/academic accommodations (if applicable).
3. Admissions Testing. All applicants are required to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT). St. Michael administers this test in January each year, or by appointment.
4. Shadow Day (optional but encouraged.) Prospective students can register for a Shadow Day to attend classes with a current SMHS student. This can be arranged through the admissions office or online inquiry form.
5. Interview and Decision. Some students may be called for a parent/student interview with the admissions team. Decision letters are typically sent out within 3–4 weeks of completed applications and testing.
6. Enrollment and Tuition. Upon acceptance, families must pay the registration fee (varies by year) and set up a tuition plan via FACTS Tuition Management.
