U. S. Chamber Asks New Chamber EBR To Join Fight Against Federal Regulation

BATON ROUGE — The United States Chamber of Commerce in Washington is working closely with the new Chamber of Commerce of East Baton Rouge, and the national chamber has enlisted the local chamber in its efforts to fight excessive government regulation.  Ted Phlegar of the U.S. Chamber came to Baton Rouge to address the Chamber EBR and solidify ties between the two organizations.
One of the greatest burdens that has been created by the federal government is Obamacare, and the U.S. Chamber is fighting for its repeal, Phlegar said.
Membership in the Chamber of Commerce of East Baton Rouge costs $150 a year and includes membership in the U. S. Chamber at no extra charge.  Members are locally owned businesses in Baton Rouge where the owner lives in Baton Rouge or an adjacent parish.  For information on Chamber EBR membership, call Woody Jenkins at 225-921-1433.
