Central Community Alliance will meet in the DEMCO Meeting Room, 16262 Wax Road.  Guest speaker will be Supt. Michael Faulk of the Central Community School System.  He will discuss the school board’s offer to provide the City of Central with office space free of charge.

Zoar Baptist Church, corner of Joor and Hooper, will hosted its 11th Anniversary Car & Bike Show.  Awards will be at 1 p.m.   Free admission. Free food and door prizes.  For information, call 261-3434.

May 25 and 26 • Hurricane Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday
Louisiana residents can save money on flashlights, batteries, generators, and other emergency supplies during the Sales Tax Holiday.  Hurricane season begins Saturday, June 1.

Sunday, May 26 • 1966 Mustang Raffle
Raffle tickets are on sale now for a 1966 Mustang.  Drawing will be held at St. Isidore Church.  Tickets are $10 and all proceeds benefit St. Isidore Church.  Tickets can be purchased in the church office or you can mail a check to St. Isidore Catholic Church to Blackwater Mustang LLC, 12318 Blackwater Road, Baker, LA 70714.

May 28 through 30 • Wildcat Baseball Camp • 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

June 3 through 6 • Bitty Kitty Dance Camp • 9 a.m. to 12 noon
The Central High School Kittens will host a Bitty Kitty Dance Camp.  Cost is $60 and can be paid in the form of a check to Central High School.

June 3 through 6 • Central Basketball Youth Camp • 9 a.m. to 12 noon
The camp will teach young basketball players the basic skills and assist young players in improving already learned skills.  The camp is offered to boys between the ages of 7-13 and is broken into two groups, SEC for younger athletes and the NBA for the older athletes.  Campers will be instructed by Central High basketball staff and current players.  Contact Coach Ron Lewis at rlewis@centralcss.org or 261-2780.

June 3 through 7 • Vacation Bible School • 9 a.m. to 12 noon
Fellowship Baptist Church, 14512 Greenwell Springs, will have Vacation Bible School.  The theme this is year is “Colossal Coaster World.”    Kids will explore ways to face fears and learn to trust God.  Every child who has finished kindergarten through 6th grade are invited to attend.  For information, call 261-8903.

The Central High Class of 1963 will hold their 50th reunion from 2 to 5 p.m. at the home of Ellen Smith Frazier, daughter of CHS principal J.A. July 8 through 11 • Central Basketball Elite Camp
The camp is offered to a limited number of players between the ages of 12 and 14.  This camp is for experienced players who want to improve their skills for the next level and prepare for the upcoming season.  Players will be videoed and their progress will be reviewed prior to each day’s workout and they will receive daily feedback on their performance and progress.  For information contact Coach Ron Lewis at rlewis@centralcss.org or 261-2780.
