EBR School Board Has No Debt: Why That’s Good for St. George

An inquiry by the Capital City News has revealed that the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board has no bonded indebtedness.

That’s good news for taxpayers in EBR and in the proposed St. George School District.  It means that all school facilities in the proposed school district are already paid for, and there is no long-term debt for the St. George School System to assume a portion of.  Both systems

would be debt-free.
