Col. Rob Maness Brings Senate Campaign to BR

mer B-1 bomber squadron commander Rob Maness brought his campaign for the United States Senate to Baton Rouge March 21.

Maness drew a large crowd, thanks in part to radio talk show host Michael Berry, who hosted the event.

Berry said Maness is clearly the best candidate to defeat Sen. Mary Landrieu and the only solid conservative in the race.

Berry recounted how he was in the room when Sen. Ted Cruz launched his Senate campaign in Texas.  “There were only six of us in that meeting,” Berry said.  But on election night, there were 3,000 and an historic victory.  The talk show host said, “A Republican will beat Mary Landrieu this year.  We just have to be sure it’s the right Republican.  He will be there for six years, and we can’t afford to have a moderate in that role.”

Maness noted that Landrieu was just appointed to chair the Senate Energy Committee. “The first person to appear before Landrieu’s committee was Secretary of State John Kerry.  Why didn’t Landrieu call him to task for delaying the Keystone pipeline?  She just played softball with him.”

“Landrieu voted with Obama 98 percent of the time,” he said.

Maness said he met recently with Cruz and Sens. Rand Paul and Mike Lee.  “They are very enthusiastic about this race,” he said.

Maness said his priorities are to make government live by the Constitution and Bill of Rights, promote American jobs, repeal Obamacare, promote energy production,  build a strong national defense and a strong foreign policy, and promote America as once again an opportunity society.  Maness can be reached at 985-201-3428.
