Istrouma to Reopen on 100th Anniversary

The East Baton Rouge Parish school system will let a $20 million contract to renovate Istrouma High with construction beginning in August. After being closed since 2014, the school will reopen in August 2017 on its 100th anniversary. Supt. Warren Drake appointed the Istrouma Advisory Committee to advise him on issues related to reopening the school.
