Most EBR Legislators Receive ‘F’ From LABI

The state’s top business organization has rated the Louisiana Legislature on 28 key House votes and 21 key Senate votes during the recent legislative session. And the results aren’t pretty!

Only three legislators who represent East Baton Rouge Parish  received passing grades. All the rest flunked and received F’s!

Passing were Rep. Barry Ivey, who earned a 99 percent rating and an A All-Star rating; Sen. Dale Erdey, who received an 80 percent, or B rating, and Rep. Valarie Hodges, who scored 76 percent pro-business for a C rating.

Not doing so well were other members of the EBR delegation, including Reps. Frank Foil, 56 percent; Darrell Ourso, 53 percent; Steve Carter, 51 percent; Erick Ponti, 46 percent; Dalton Honore, 35 percent; Ted James, 35 percent; Regina Barrow, 35 percent; Pat Smith, 34 percent; Alfred Williams, 31 percent, and Kenny Havard, 25 percent.  Senators from EBR Parish who received an F for their 2015 voting records were Sens. Dan Claitor, 39 percent; Bodi White, 39 percent; Sharon Weston Broome, 30 percent, and Yvonne Dorsey-Colomb, 27 percent.
